Baie-Comeau is a northern and maritime city, known for its exceptional quality of life. Located along the St. Lawrence River, approximately 400 km from Québec City, it is the second most populated city on the Côte-Nord.

Baie-Comeau offers a safe environment and a very competitive cost of living. The vast majority of services are available to residents, and residents of neighbouring municipalities even travel to Baie-Comeau to meet their different needs, whether it is relating to goods and services, recreation, or basic items.   

Baie-Comeau is also part of the Manicouagan-Uapishka World Biosphere Reserve. It has been a benchmark for sustainable development since it was granted its international status by UNESCO in 2007.

Baie-Comeau welcomes several international cruise ships each year and is one of nine ports of call recognized by the St. Lawrence Cruise Association.
